Frequently asked questions

Why am I suddenly hungrier?

Energy needs rise in T2. Aim for ~300 extra cal/day — dal, eggs, paneer, nuts, fruit.

My libido is back?

Yes — the “golden trimester” brings more energy. Sex is safe in low-risk pregnancies.

Mild round-ligament pain — serious?

Short sharp pulls as the uterus grows are usually benign. Severe or sustained pain needs review.

For partners

Plan a small T2 “babymoon” — even a weekend getaway counts.

Prepare for your OB visit

  • Can I start prenatal yoga / swimming?
  • Any GDM risk factors to screen early?
