Frequently asked questions
What does the NT scan check?
Fluid behind the baby’s neck + bloodwork — estimates risk of Down syndrome and trisomies 18/13.
Will it show the gender?
Usually not at 11–14 weeks — gender is more reliable from the 18–20 week anatomy scan.
Constipation — when will it end?
It persists. Fibre, water, prune juice help; talk to your doctor before laxatives.
