Here is what to expect this week for you and your baby.

  • Muscles and lungs maturing rapidly
  • Brain can control body temperature
  • Bones fully developed but still soft

Common Symptoms

  • Heartburn intensifying as baby pushes stomach up
  • Fatigue returning — third trimester tiredness
  • Frequent urination as baby presses on bladder
  • Mood swings and anxiety about delivery

Tips & Advice

  • Sleep propped up slightly to ease heartburn
  • Rest as much as possible — nap during the day
  • Talk about delivery fears with partner or counselor

Nutrition Guide

  • Anti-heartburn: cold milk, saunf after meals
  • Energy foods: dry fruits ladoo, dates, banana
  • Calcium: ragi dosa, nachni porridge, curd

When to see your doctor at week 29

Some symptoms need attention right away. Contact your doctor or go to the nearest hospital if you notice any of these:

  • Heavy bleeding (soaking a pad within an hour)
  • Severe or persistent abdominal or pelvic pain
  • Fever above 38°C (100.4°F)
  • Sudden severe headache, blurred vision or upper-abdominal pain (possible preeclampsia)
  • Decreased fetal movement after week 24 (fewer than 10 movements in 2 hours)
  • Watery fluid leak from the vagina before 37 weeks (possible PPROM)
  • Regular contractions before 37 weeks (possible preterm labour)

Yes. Compression stockings, elevation, movement breaks help.

Can I still exercise?
