Backend Engineering Intern

Where you’d start
Wire up those four, then fix the prescription-fulfilment request struct: it has no items field, so every dispense silently discards the pharmacist’s batch and expiry data.
What you’d do
- Write and fix HTTP API endpoints in Go.
- Write SQL queries against PostgreSQL and understand what makes one slow.
- Trace a bug from the screen, through the API, to the database — and fix it.
- Write tests for the endpoints you touch. This matters to us more than most places.
What we need from you
This is the real bar. If you meet it, please apply — we would rather teach the rest.
- Programming fundamentals in any language — loops, functions, data structures.
- Some idea of what an API and a database are. Coursework counts.
- Willingness to learn Go. Most people are productive in it within two weeks.
- Basic Git.
Nice to have — genuinely optional
Not having these will not count against you.
- Any SQL exposure at all.
- Curiosity about how systems fail — timeouts, retries, bad input.
- A DBMS or networks course you enjoyed.

Go, REST API design, PostgreSQL, writing meaningful tests, and how a backend serving several apps is organised.

We would rather you know this before applying than after joining.
- We are pre-launch and small. Some weeks are messy and priorities move.
- ₹5,000/month is a learning stipend, not a salary. Please weigh that honestly against your situation.
- We cannot promise a full-time offer at the end — that depends on funding. If it happens, you will hear it from us directly and early.
- You will need your own laptop and a workable internet connection.
