There is a quiet question behind every health app a woman is asked to trust: who else gets to see this? For us, the answer has to be simple and unambiguous — your health data is yours. That is not a feature we added later. It is a foundation we started with.
Why this matters more for women's health
Health information is personal for everyone, but women's health carries an extra weight. Details about cycles, fertility, pregnancy, mental health, or intimate concerns are exactly the kind of information that should never be treated casually. When data like this is collected loosely and shared widely, the cost is not abstract — it is the difference between feeling safe enough to ask a question and staying silent. Privacy is not a nice-to-have here. It is what makes honest care possible at all.
What privacy-first actually means to us
It is easy to say "we take privacy seriously." We would rather be specific about the principles guiding how we build:
- Clear consent. You should always know what you are sharing and why, in plain words — not buried in a wall of legal text.
- Plain-language controls. Managing who sees your information should be simple and visible, not hidden three menus deep.
- A promise on selling data. We will not sell your health information. Full stop.
- Privacy by design. These choices shape the product from the start, rather than being patched on after the fact.
Control that stays with you
"Your data is yours" only means something if you can act on it. The aim is for you to stay in control — to understand what is held, to decide what is shared, and to change your mind. Trust is not a one-time checkbox at sign-up; it is something we have to keep earning, every time you open the app.
Earning trust, honestly
We are early in our journey, and we would rather make careful promises we can keep than loud ones we cannot. Privacy is one of the few things in health you should never have to compromise on — so we are treating it as non-negotiable from day one. Because care that does not respect your privacy is not really care.
